Nokia Lumia 2520 video review assistance

Nokia’s recently announced its first tablet, the Lumia 2520. There’s a lot of expectation for this device and the Lumia 2520 release is just starting to roll out now. You may well be considering purchasing this tablet and so we have a Nokia Lumia 2520 video review to show you that will hopefully assist you in making a decision. The Nokia Lumia 2520 released on Verizon yesterday and arrives on AT&T today, and it’s expected to become available in the UK in the first week of December. There has been plenty of initial enthusiasm for the Lumia 2520, which runs Windows RT 8.1, but if you’re undecided as to whether this is the right tablet for you, a look at this review could help you out. Many have questioned whether the Lumia 2520 can succeed on the mass market against the many other high-end tablets out there, and this video shows what it brings to the table. The 11-minute YouTube video below this story gives a good overview of the Lumia 2520, and it begins with a look at the design of the tablet and notes how exceptionally slim it is.The red version of the tablet is shown, although as this color option has a glossy finish it’s noted to be a fingerprint magnet. The design is very nice though, and definitely stands out among most of the other tablets on the market. Details of the display are then given before a tour of the hardware, and then there’s a look at the software and pre-loaded Nokia apps. The video continues with info on the camera set-up including sample images, and then details of battery life, pricing and more. Ultimately the tablet is said to be a “well-rounded performer” and a notable first tablet offering from Nokia. The Nokia Lumia 2520 could be a good choice for tablet users who are not tied to the idea of an Android or iOS device. Much of your decision is likely to come down to what you think of the Windows RT 8.1 OS, and this video will give you an idea of what that offers.Take a look at the video below for the full story on the Lumia 2520 and let us have your comments. Do you think the Nokia Lumia 2520 will be your next tablet purchase? What is it about this device that most appeals to you? via Phones Review http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/2013/11/22/nokia-lumia-2520-video-review-assistance/

iPad Air vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 video review

If you are after a new tablet PC this year there is certainly a lot of choice available at various pricing levels and if you have no brand loyalty this decision can be even tougher, and today we have an iPad Air vs. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 video review for your viewing pleasure. The video that we have embedded below this page is 9.5 minutes long and is comparing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 against the Apple iPad Air, while many would think it more fairer if this was against the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 but we have seen this comparison before. We get a look at the design of both devices and it has to be remembered that the Galaxy Tab 3 is priced much lower than the iPad Air, and much is made of the more premium build of the iPad and its lighter feel. The reviewer comments on the lack of a quality build the Samsung has but some of these videos make you wonder if the reviewer is remaining fully impartial, and some may say he is an Apple fan boy. We get a look at the specifications of the two displays, and the iPad Air display is preferred for its clearer image. We get to see both operating systems in action with the reviewer again favouring the iOS 7 offering saying it’s much easier to use, but this again makes you wonder about his favouritism. He does mention that Android allows users to have various widgets on the home screen. We see some of the specs from the internal components before moving onto some web browsing, and then we get to see the cameras in action. There wasn’t that much between the two cameras with only a slight lean towards the iPad Air until we get to lower light situations.Check out the full video and tell us what you think of this comparison.via Phones Review http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/2013/11/27/ipad-air-vs-samsung-galaxy-tab-3-10-1-video-review/

T-Mobile Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 update begins, risky though

The updating of various Samsung smartphones to later versions of the mobile operating system has been a sorry state of affairs recently with numerous problems affecting users, and despite this we have news of the T-Mobile Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 update that begins but it may be a bit risky though. If you are a regular reader of Phones Review or the owner of a Samsung flagship smartphone you will be well aware of the major difficulties many owners have been facing recently. First the Galaxy S3 saw some major problems with the Android 4.3 update that eventually saw some versions pulled, and no fix has yet been provided.More recently owners of the Galaxy S4 have been seeing similar problems after updating their handset to Android 4.3, and despite this T-Mobile in the US has announced the availability of the firmware update for its customers. The software has begun its journey rolling out to end users and is available via an over the air update or from the Samsung KIES desktop application, and the file size comes in at 781MB bringing the handset up to software version M919UVUEMK2.This new update brings a number of new features that includes support for the Galaxy Gear smartwatch as well as the Samsung KNOX security suite, but some Galaxy S4 owners have reported that this has prevented them from joining their home Wi-Fi network. It may be an idea to hold back from updating your handset for the time being as it will be better having an older but stable version of the operating system instead of something that for many users has left them with a handset they can’t use correctly. Battery life is another big issue for many users that have installed the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to their Galaxy S4, with some reports of it draining in only a few hours even in standby. Will you update your Galaxy S4?Source: T-Mobile.via Phones Review http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/2013/11/26/t-mobile-galaxy-s4-android-4-3-update-begins-risky-though/
